I. NECK AND BACK

    • Level 1: banana rolls
    • Level 2: modified planks, side planks, bridges
    • Level 3: full planks, side planks, bridges
  • Core stability for modern/contemporary work
    • Level 1: Martha Graham Rise and Falls - assisted dynamic neuromuscular stabilization infant 3.5 months; single side
    • Level 2: Martha Graham Rise and Falls single side
    • Level 3: Martha Graham Rise and Falls with transition to opposite side

 

  • Dancer's fire hydrant

II. KNEE

  • Balance
    • Level 1 : front crossed pile
    • Level 2: side, front, back layouts
    • Level 3: turning floor to stand transitions, layouts with plies and spinal extension
  • Pelvic stabilization
    • Level 1: plie in first and second - circle front to side to back
    • Level 2: tendus and grande battements; parallel - tendu front, lift up, plie and roll down, flex hip, drop and roll down 
    • Level 3: standing leg exercise 
    • Level 4: single leg stance flex up, open side, fall onto plie
  • Mobilization/Warm up
    • Level 1: Hinges; Deep lie; side bends; lumbar circles; lunge stretches into calf stretch
    • Level 2: lumbar circles with extension; leg swing throughs with extension
    • Level 3: leg swing throughs with turns and lumbar extensions into pile
    • Level 4: Lester Horton warm up
