The Foundation Journal is the compilation of years of counseling patients, research, working with other experts, self-work, journaling, planning, and optimization. It is designed to help you stay accountable for all aspects of your life that must be tended to in the pursuit of health. It is designed for my patients, their needs and goals and can also be used as a stand-alone for anyone seeking to master the art of wellness.
The key to a happy life and optimal health is to tend to all aspects of our lives: mental, physical, spiritual. Without one of these building blocks, there cannot be optimal health. Each block is composed of how we interact with our inner and outer worlds. This includes our community, ourselves, our families, our friends, our bodies, our day, our souls, food, exercise, environment, etc.
Why journal? Why write things down when this is redundant in the digital age with our electronic tools? When we write down our ideas and abstract thoughts, we make them into reality. The physical act of writing is unique to humans and is a direct embodiment of the creative fire that burns within all humans. It is our direct connection to God and the universal energy that lives within us.
